Jessica's 1st birthday is tomorrow, but we threw her a small party this past Saturday. It turned out perfect. We did not have too many people over, so Jessica didn't get too overwhelmed. Of course, when I woke her up from her nap and we came downstairs to a room half full of people, she was a little freaked out, but that didn't last too long. Ashley and Emory were unable to make it to the party, but they stopped by beforehand. As always, it was great to see our best friends!!
Happy Birthday, Jessica! The cakes turned out so yummy! White cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing... Yum!
Here is Jessica with all her new toys and clothes! Everyone was so sweet and got her so much good stuff. Jessica is very fortunate to have such thoughtful family and friends. Nanny and Papa got her that cool new chair with her name on it. She is so proud of her new chair.
I see the birthday girl!! Papa is known for being a clean-freak, so it was pretty humorous to see his reaction to Jessica's birthday cake mess. She didn't get the opportunity to make much more of a mess than what you see, because Papa was very concerned about Jessica's cleanliness. He was just sure that Jessica did not want to get all messy, so after a few minutes, he was wiping her down. It was cute.
Melissa, Tiffy, and Landon also dropped by for the birthday celebration.

What a beautiful almost 1 yr old. I love the pic of you holding her and both of your mouths are WIDE open. Cracks me up. She looks like she had a blast!! Wish we could've been there :(
I LOVE IT! she's so darn cute. you both are!! so funny! i'm glad jess had a great bday partaaayy! tell her when she comes to CO Grandpa Woody and I will throw her the bday bash of the century!
