Jessica's FIRST Halloween!

It's Halloween! You know what that means? Time to dress the baby up in an adorable chicken suit, over indulge on yummies, and of course... carve a jack o'lantern! Thanks to our neighbor, Kelly, we were encouraged to begin a pumpkin carving tradition this Halloween. Jessica was absolutely thrilled, as you can see!

First things first! Once Jess realized how messy she got to be, she liked the idea.
She really cleaned that pumpkin out!
She thought it was so cool to look way deep inside the pumpkin. It was pretty darn cute. She just looked and looked. Her little brain was just taking it ALL in!
As you can see, she worked very hard to get that pumpkin clean. She even tasted some of the stringy goo. She was so excited, she wouldn't eat her dinner... but, of course, she had to put the mystery goo in her mouth. That's a curious baby for ya!
Ta da! All cleaned out!Next step: wash the pumpkin so we can start carving!I failed to get the next steps in photo format. However, I assure you, Jessica did this all by herself. Here is our final work of art. Cute, huh?
After we carved this masterpiece, Jessica got all dolled up in her chicken suit and we took a stroll up the street in our handy dandy wagon.
Some of our neighbors got real festive. I was so busy taking photos, that I did not notice that Jessica threw one of her chicken feet out on the ground. We had to go on a search mission to find the missing foot. It turned up exactly where this photo was taken.
Jessica has really been working on her flexibility.
This photo was taken just seconds before she fell backwards into the flowerbed. The only thing hurt was her pride. We were so excited to be surprised by a special visit from our favorite little giraffe. Seriously, could she be any cuter??
Chicky + Giraffey = Best Friends Forever!
ha ha... so stinkin' cute! Can't wait to show them this picture 15 years from now.
Sweet girls!
Proud mommies, me and Ash, with our munchkins, Jess and Emory!! (and Mr. Jack O. Lantern)

Jessica's first Halloween was perfect!
