Our Trip to Austin

If you know me, you know I like to get festive for ALL occasions! We spent 2 weekends ago in Austin. I brought all the kiddos pumpkin pails filled with all kinds of Halloween goodies. We even played 'pin the nose on the pumpkin'! I made pumpkin shaped jello jigglers and this cake... It turned out so cute and yummy, too!!
Saturday morning, Nicky had a football game and Ellie had a soccer game. Jessica enjoyed watching Nicky out on the field.

I can't believe he is getting so big! Here he is (#24).

Here is Jessica's cousin, Abbie. She had fun running around and playing during the game. I think she was wanting to get out there on the field and play!

Jessica's cousin, Ellie, just loves Jessica so much. She is always wanting to hug her, hold her, and play with her. Here they are (and Papa, too!) watching Nicky play football.

Jessica is always exploring. Here she is, fascinated with the tag on the chair. Forget expensive new toys. Her newest favorite is an empty cleaned out milk jug. Try it, moms! Your babies will love it.

And the highlight of the weekend? Bernadette, the squirrel! My sister's family has been having a squirrel problem at their house. So, they called the critter control and got a trap. The kids (and adults!) stayed entertained with these silly squirrels. Especially when we woke up Sunday morning to find two baby squirrels playing in the untriggered trap. Don't worry, no squirrels were harmed. Rumor has it, you take a squirrel 10mi away and they will not find their way back.
