Our first official blog!

I love to journal. I write in Jessica's journal every day and I often update my MySpace blog.... and now, I have added this blog. One more way to capture all of our many memories that are in the making daily. So, welcome to our blog spot. Jessica never ceases to amaze me! She used her little training potty 6 times yesterday! 4 pee potties, 2 poo potties, and 1 mix! And this morning, she was at it again. Go Jessica!!

She will be 8mo old on Saturday. She is growing so fast and getting smarter and smarter every day. Her little brain is like a big sponge. Everyday is a new day and she has some new trick up the sleeve of her onesie to show Mommy. I feel like a child on Christmas morning, waiting for her to reveal something new to me each day. I love my baby girl so much. She is so special to me and everyone else who has been moved simply by her joyful presence.

We have been so fortunate to get to spend so much time with my sister, her husband, and all 3 of Jessica's awesome cousins who live in Austin. They all love her so much. We miss them and hope that one day they will live closer to the DFW area. I will never forget how Ellie was literally almost in tears this past weekend when she had to say good-bye to baby Jess after spending an entire week with her. Jessica is surrounded by more love than she knows what to do with. We are so blessed to have the family God has given us.

Ellie just turned 6 last month. She loves Jessica so much! She also loves to hold her and walk around. Jess always wears a huge smile if Ellie is in the room. Ellie always comes in and wakes up Jessica in the mornings when they are visiting.

We went to NRH2O on Nicky's 9th birthday. Jess loves the water! She swims almost every day with Nanny. All the water fountains at the water park really captured Jessica's attention. She was so interested in everything around her!

We had a special 4th of July. Ellie sang 'Our Country Tis of Thee' while waving an American flag.
I also performed for the family, but thankfully, my act was not captured on camera. We also watched a beautiful fireworks display in Bedford. As you can see in the picture, Jessica wore her cute new 4th of July dress. Yay! We love to get festive for the holidays!
