Videos and more!

Here are some videos from this past week. Jess is just over 8 months old. Enjoy!

This one is Jess crawling around the floor.

This one is Jessica exploring the toy basket for the first time. I just happened to capture her first experience playing with a Barbie doll. Her reaction cracks me up!

Here is Jessica being a silly girl... please disregard my voice. Seriously. haha :) You understand if you have kiddos!!

This past week was so incredibly busy. I have been super busy with my photography business. I am very grateful that business is good, however, the better business is = less time with Jess. So, I am really trying to milk every second we have together. No pun intended.

This morning, Jess intentionally cuddled with me for the first time! When we sleep together, we are always cuddled inward toward one another, but this morning was different. She turned toward me in her sleep and snuggled in close. Usually when she does this, it means she wants to nurse. But, this morning, she just wanted to snuggle in close to Mommy. Needless to say, instead of getting out of bed when I should have, I continued laying with my sweet cuddle bug.

Jess was not gung-ho about the potty this weekend. She wouldn't go once! She would straighten her body and flex her legs. It was actually pretty humorous. Oh, maybe the potty excitement is over for the time being. Don't worry-- well keep ya posted. :)

My parents just had all new landscaping and lighting done in their flowerbeds. It looks SO nice! Yesterday, I was letting Jess explore in the beautiful new bright purple periwinkles. She was hilarious. At first, she was hesitant to touch the flowers. She would reach real slow and pull back quick after she touched it... like it was hot or something. After 10 minutes or so, she had managed to rip apart about 4 flower heads on one plant and she was digging around in the soil with her hands and feet. Nanny made us leave her garden alone once we got all the photos and videos we could! I love to watch Jess explore new things. Seeing life through a child's eyes is truly priceless. So innocent and sweet.
