We spent an hour of our morning at the doctor's office this morning. Jessica's arms and legs are covered in red dots. Some are just light red spots on the skin and some are very swollen and bright red. She has about 10 on one arm, 4 on the other... 8 on one leg, 3 on the other. That's alot of spots! I thought she had been bitten by a mosquito on Saturday, but then they started multiplying yesterday. So, I have been feeling certain that she has the chicken pox. *groan* We are leaving for Hawaii next week, so I am really hoping this is not anything that will put a damper on our trip. The bumps do not seem to bother her at all. A couple of days ago, she was super fussy. She could have possible had a slight fever then (I attributed it to her teething), but she has no fever now. However, her doctor does not think these spots are chicken pox. She says they look like insect bites. I strongly disagree, because they multiplied all day and night yesterday-- and I was with her-- and there were no bugs around us. We even gave her a bath and put a long sleeve footed sleeper on her... an hour later, 2-3 more spots. So, who knows?!? I almost want to get a second opinion, but I am going to wait a couple of days to see if they get worse or begin diminishing.

Here is a video from last week. Jessica loves to explore. Her favorite thing to do is dig around in a basket full of goodies. Here, she is checking out mama's camera bag...

That girl makes me smile!

We spent this past weekend out in East Texas... mostly indoors! This Texas heat just about fried us. It has been over 100 degrees everyday! The kids had a hard time finding things to do in our little old country house, but we managed to get lots of quality family time in... and yum-O food, thanks to Grandmama. We went to a family reunion on Saturday. It was great to see lots of family. Many met Jessica for the first time. :) Here are some pictures...

This is my sis, Shara, and me:

Here is Jess getting bathed in the kitchen sink...

She loved it! We got to spend time with both of Jessica's Great Grandads.
Sunday morning was not quite as hot, so the kids got to swing in the swing and play Blongo Ball. Here is little Abigail enjoying the swing as Nanny pushes her...Jessica with her cousin Ellie, who loves Jessica SO much!! Ellie was playfully calling Jessica "Jack" on Sunday, because she said she looked like a boy in her camo onesie. ha! :) Hey, you know we like to be festive!

Ellie and Jessica, playing...

Trying to get Papa's attention... look at those legs! I love them. :)

And here are some of my favorite pics from recently...

We had such a great time with family this past weekend.

Family Maui Trip countdown: 11 more days!!!
Love,
Jess & Me
