Maui Trip - Day 4

Monday, we drove the road to Hana. We got a late start, bought some box lunches and coffee in Paia, and had a great time.

Dad drove there and Matt drove back. It took us a few hours to get there. We made some pit stops... for photos, small hikes, snacks.

We spent a few hours in Hana. We ate our picnic lunch at a black sand beach.

I ate lots of passion fruit.

The kids had a blast playing on the lava rocks.

Jessica was very good. I had to change lots of diapers on the picnic table. We visited some caves and another black sand beach. This time, we all got into the water, except Mom. I even let Jess put her feet in. She thought it was so funny when the water came up and got on her feet. We got lots of photos and video.

We stopped at one little stand on the side of the road and I made everyone taste baked bread fruit. We had a great day in the van. That evening, we drove the Kihei and ate dinner at Fred’s Mexican Restaurant. I had nachos and they were good. It was late when we returned to the hotel. We all went to bed.
