Maui Trip - Day 5

TODAY, JESSICA IS 9mo OLD!


Tuesday, we got up and we had breakfast with Mom and Dad at the breakfast buffet.
It was very fancy and yummy. Jess ate pretty good, but she was more fascinated with the birds than the food! Ellie, Nick, and Matt were snorkeling, so Dad went to the beach and watched them from shore. Mom, Jess, and I walked the beach and then met up with Dad. Of course, Jess fell asleep on our walk. Then, we all sat around the pool for hours. I played with Jess on the kiddie beach pool for a long time and then I nursed her to sleep. Once she was asleep, Mom took Jess and I swam in the pool with Ellie, Lisa, and Shara.
Then, it was time to pack up to go to the Westin Ka’anapali, so we packed up and headed that direction in the big ole van. Once we got over here, we checked into the hotel and we were once again greeted with fresh flower leis. Mmmmm! Jess was mesmorized by the man with the fancy boots who greeted us. He even put a flower behind her ear!

Seconds later, she freaked out. I think he scared her. It was so sad, but so funny at the same time!


We enjoyed a yummy dinner on the beach at the Hula Grill. The floor was sand, so that was fun… except when Jess dropped her sippy cup and sand got all over the sippy part. We had a nice dinner and then we all kind of went our separate ways. Mom, Jess, and I went shopping. Dad, Matt, and the kids went to the beach. Shara went shopping and then to the beach. Not sure where Lisa and Chad went. Then, we went back to our rooms and went to bed. Mom, Dad, Jess, and I have an adjoining room with Shara and her family. Lisa and Chad are down the hall.
