Maui Trip - Day 8

08-15-08

On Friday, Shara, Matt, Nick, Ellie, Lisa, and Chad spent the first part of the day on the Kapalua Kai. My Dad, Jess, and I watched them take off and then we went with my Mom and Abigail to Lahaina for the day.

Papa bought Jess a ukelele.
...and boy, how she loves that thing!

Here we are at the largest banyan tree in the world (well, not sure if it really is, but it is BIG!)... We enjoyed checking out all the local art work and crafts. I didn't walk away with anything, myself, but my Dad bought little painted harmonica shells for Nicky and Ellie.
Jessica was just ecstatic over the waves crashing on the rocks below!
Jessica loved hearing Papa blow into the shell harmonica!
Jess, watching the waves crash. We could have sat here all day, but we had to get back to the hotel to meet the rest of our family.
I couldn't look up at these without snapping a photo!
And this... so pretty! Makes me want to go back right now.
Here we are (sisters) on our way to dinner... another wonderful meal in a beautiful place!
A beautiful photo of Lisa and Chad...
Jessica with the beautiful Ka'anapali Beach sunset in the background...
Paradise...
Jessica really knows how to get get comfy! Here she is, wrapped in the beautiful new Jams blanket that Papa bought for her during our fun day in Lahaina. Remember Jams? If you were a kid in the 80's, you have to know Jams!! We were psyched to find the Jams store. Nanny even bought Jessica some ridiculously hideous, yet fantastic, shorts for when she gets bigger. She is going to be JUST as stylish as her mom was when she was a kid!!

I think that pretty much wraps up Day 8! And this photo of Jess pretty much wraps up how tired we all were at this point in our trip. Two more days to go!!
